ALL PARTICIPANTS, Parents/Spectators/Players/Coaches/Referees/Scorekeepers , are required to adhere to the Zero Tolerance Policy of the Cooper City Optimist Roller Hockey, CCORH, program.

Remember: If the Referee does not see and call the infraction, it is not a penalty. Violations of these rules, by a player, during a game will be dealt with by the on rink official's only. It is at his/her discretion what action should be taken and to determine if a player should be ejected from the game.

If an incident occurs during a game and is not written up by the Referee on the score sheet, and/or reported to the Referee Coordinator the incident may not be considered in direct violation of this policy.

Violations of these rules, by anyone other than a player involved in a game, in and around the roller hockey rink's can and will be enforced by any of the Cooper City Roller Hockey board or any Cooper City Optimist board member.

If you believe that a violation occurred, or you wish to file a complaint, please report it to the coach first then to division coordinator for that age group, via telephone call, later not at rink side. The CCO board will investigate the issue and make their decision.

Zero Tolerance For:

-Fighting: Any Player Throwing a punch or other intentional physical violence with the intent to injure or intimidate , towards any other Participant may be Ejected from the Game and asked to leave the premise. This is a discretionary decision by the referee. Any player ejected for Fighting and will not be allowed to participate in games or practices until the incident is reviewed by the CCORH board. The details of the incident should be recorded on the game score sheet by the referee and/or scorekeeper.
-Dropping the Gloves to Incite a Fight : Any player dropping the gloves with the intent of taunting or inciting another participant on the rink may be awarded a 5 Minute Major at the discretion of the referee and possibly issued a Game Misconduct .
-Throwing of any objec t in the spectators viewing area, players bench, penalty box, or rink surface, directed in any manner as to create a safety hazard.
-Taunting of Players, Coaches, Referees or other participants by means of physical violence, threat of physical violence, baiting, or ridiculing .
-Use of Obscene or Vulgar language in any manner towards anyone or anything at any time in or around the Roller Hockey Facility.
-Displaying disruptive or inappropriate behavior and/or interfering with other spectators or participants of the game .


Actions:

-Any violation of the above policy or other hockey rules by Participants of the game, Coaches, Parents, or Spectators will be handled at the discretion of the on rink official, (Referee), by the issuance of warnings and/or penalties as described in the USA Hockey rule book and the CCORH league rules.
-At the discretion of the Referees, a game may be stopped when Coaches, Players, Parents, Spectators continue displaying inappropriate and disruptive behavior interfere with other spectators or participants of the game. The Referees may identify violators to the coaches/captains for the purpose of removing the violator from the viewing area.
-If a violator who is asked to leave the area does not co-operate, and the Referees and/or Cooper City Hockey or Optimist board members will call the police.
-An incident resulting in a game mis-conduct or ejection must be recorded on the game score sheet, the Referee and Coaches must contact the Division Coordinator ASAP to report and discuss the incident.

Note: Any person Ejected from a Game or the Rink area for a violation of this policy will not be allowed in or around the hockey facility until the CCORH board has reviewed the incident.

Any player issued a Game Mis-conduct or Match Penalty will not be allowed to participate in the teams next 2 scheduled games.

CCORH Board Review of Violations:

Violations of these policies resulting in Ejection from a game or practice will be reviewed by the members of the CCORH board. The Board will convene within 2 weeks of the violation, with a minimum of 3 board members present, to review the incident. The persons involved, witnessing, and reporting the offense may be requested to be present at the review meeting. During this review process the accused violators may be requested to not participate in games or practices with his/her team. Any additional disciplinary actions and/or the decision of the CCORH board will be final.

IF A PLAYER IS EJECTED FROM THE LEAGUE FOR VIOLATION OF THESE RULES ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.
